Super Mario Bros Flash – Another flash homage to the classic Super Mario Bros. series, this time of Super Mario Bros 3, one of the best selling games of all time. Despite all the advances in graphics and gameplay over the years since, there’s something undeniably rewarding and fun about playing old-school platformers like this, despite the less than perfect controls.

Pop Pirates

Pop Pirates is an overhead 2-D shooter, with bright and crisp graphics. The control is spot on, and the gameplay simple and enjoyable fun. Your mission is to destroy the viruses infesting your computer, and collect the KB they drop after being ‘deleted’. Additional powerups can be picked up to up your firepower and virus killing acumen.

Instructions:
Use your mouse to manoeuvre your spaceman and left click to fire. Pick up all the bonuses and power ups as you go along.

King of Fighters XS

King of Fighters XS – The King of Fighters are back for another throw down session, in one of the few good, pure fighting games in flash. Multiple characters from the series are available, with a few hidden ones waiting to be unlocked. Different stages are also available. While the keyboard isn’t ideal for the fighting game format, the action is still controlled well enough for a fun experience to be had.

King of Fighters XS Instructions:

Punches: U – Light Punch | I – Medium Punch | O – Hard Punch

Sonic

Sonic is another classic platformer that transfers well to the flash format. This game retains all the speed and action of the originals, while adding new challenges. Different playable characters are available from Sonic’s mythos, so fans of the series should have a great time with this homage.

Super Mario World

Super Mario World – This game will bring back fond memories for anyone who grew up during the SNES area, and played Super Mario World, one of video gaming’s all time classics. Music, graphics and sound effects are all identical to that game, and though the control isn’t as tight as it would be with a game pad, Super Mario World is a great platformer experience for young and old alike.

Incaball

Incaball is a great fusion of a classic puzzle game, with an old school style 8-bit shooter. You probably know the puzzle drill by now. Match up three balls of any color to make them disappear. Where Incaball differs from the rest is that the balls are moving in a row through maze-like tunnels, and you must shoot them from the bottom of the screen with your like-colored balls. Great fun and challenge awaits in incaball.

Dice Wars

Dice Wars is a die based take on the war board game risk. Your ultimate goal is to conquer the land, one area at a time, by attacking the weakest enemies around you and engaging them in dice battles, where the high roller walks away the victor. Without the ability to place reinforcements on your land and move troops around, the game lacks some of the strategy of the classic board game, but is a fun little diversion nonetheless.

Snake

Snake starts off simply, and may not impress, but this puzzler grows more difficult as things progress. You control a small blob of squares to start with, and travel around a board collecting other squares, which add on to your length. You can’t leave the edges of the board which is easy enough, but the real trick comes in avoiding crossing your own path as you get longer, which also results in death. The levels start slow, but this is one tricky snake one full grown.
